You Wore it Well

One thing you can count on is seeing characters at the Indy 500. We get everyone; die hard fans, people showing their patriotism, Oscar Mayer Wieners, Pacers fans, "Joe Dirt" wigs, "Ricky Bobby," "A Christmas Story" couple and the list goes on. Even the youngest spectator, such as this little boy, sports his race t-shirt enjoying his second Indy 500 race! It is definitely a site to see while not watching the race.
Artist, Justin Pattern, had his art display of well recognized flags and this year's artsy image of the Borg-Warner Trophy. It was designed, so there would be room for racers to autograph. He fit the look in his coveralls splattered with paint.
Pato O'Ward's booth was manned by men wearing and selling his shirts. He is the only driver licensed to sell at the track.
We couldn't exclude the men and women in uniform for keeping an eye on everyone. Ladder 29 is represented. Thank you!
While some were covered in checkered blankets or flags, from the cool day, some people from a large group gathered below Àlex Palou draped with flags of Spain. Of course, the one who wore it best was Àlex Palou and his crown of Victory! Congratulations, Alex!
It is challenging to capture all the moments and people at the track. Special thanks to photographer, Timothy Hill, for his winning (figuratively and literally), photo contribution and contributions. See you next May!
